Annual Shot Gun Club Day

To be honest, I am extremely surprised they actually let me take a social club trip involving guns (Guns, really? Have they met me? This sounds dangerous) Arriving bright and early on Saturday morning, the sun was shining and we were ready to go, after having safety talks and Timmy boasting about his “hits” last year everyone was keen to have a go.

Wow, did it feel good. Hit or miss, each shot had the same release of tension that put a massive grin on most peoples faces, it just (for some) happened to be a bonus when you actually hit your little orange target and watch it fall to pieces in the air. With “beginners” and “birthday” luck Nathan Gregory blitzed everyone else's score with a 16/25, compared to my… well I am simply not going to write my score, I need more practice before I can tell too many people what it was.

All in all it was a fresh, beautiful relaxing and easy going Saturday morning, I am looking forward to trying it again, even if they did give me “the lady bullets for less kick back.” Thanks for everyone who came and made my first social trip a memorable experience. Hope to see you all next year!
